Getting started

1. Install the desktop app

Grab the build for your platform from the download page. The app bundles a local agent host that runs your sessions on your machine.

2. Register a project

Point LeafLoop at a local git repository. Each new workspace becomes an isolated git worktree on a dedicated branch, so agents never touch your working tree directly.

3. Start a session

Pick a provider (Claude or Codex), type a prompt, and watch the streamed response with tool-use blocks. Approve or deny each permission request inline; revert to any checkpoint if a turn goes sideways.

4. Find your work

Click the magnifying glass in the desktop sidebar, or press ⌘K on macOS / Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux. Search workspace names, branches, project names, conversation titles and task titles. Use the category buttons to narrow results, or enable Include archived to find older workspaces and their conversations.

Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click a result, to open it. Tasks open their details in the queue. Escape closes search; your unsent conversation drafts are preserved. Search covers available catalog metadata, including known remote hosts. It does not search message bodies or repository contents.

5. Add your phone

Sign in to the same LeafLoop account in the mobile app. It joins your device network automatically, so you can approve permissions and review diffs on the go. All traffic is end-to-end encrypted. The relay only routes ciphertext.
